A Series of Entertainment with Jordan Vogt-Roberts


From action to adventure to horror and thriller, every genre presented on-screen has several hours and days of preparation behind it. Every hour and day compiles the work of the team of creative minds writing, performing, and directing. Every name behind the screen aims at entertaining the viewers. One such name is of a film and television director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

The American director Jordan Vogt-Roberts started his career in the year 2009 with producing and directing the episodes of two web series, Memoirs of a Manchild and Book Club, he has also directed some of the episodes for the web series Single Dads. With his creativity and imagination, Vogt-Roberts framed a short film, Mint in a Box from an episode of the series Memoirs of a Manchild. After this in 2010, he wrote and directed a short film Successful Alcoholics that was screened at over 30 film festivals including AFI Fest, SXSW film festival, and Sundance Film Festival. 


After marking his exemplary work with these web series and short films, Jordan came up with The Kings of Summer, his feature film debut. The film had its screening at the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival. At the 2013 Dallas International Film Festival, he was presented the Narrative Feature Audience Award for the same film. 

His directorial profile also includes the films, Nick Offerman: American Ham and Kong: Skull Island, this film produced in the year 2017 has hit the global box office with $565 million. He is also working on a film based on the action-adventure video game series, Metal Gear for Sony Pictures. Robert has directed episodes for television series including 3 episodes for Death Valley, 5 episodes for Funny or Die Presents, 8 episodes for Mash Up, and 8 episodes for You’re the Worst. He has also worked on two commercials, Destiny 2 and Players Unknown Battleground.



Born in the United States, Jordan Vogt-Roberts was raised in the Greater Detroit area. He moved to Arizona at 14 years of age however, he returned to Royal Oak, Michigan to graduate with his friends. He has completed his education from Dondero High School, Michigan in the year 2013 and Colombia College, Chicago in the year 2016. Jordan Vogt- Roberts has directed several series and films, other than that he has also produced and written some of them. Precisely, he has worked in several roles off-screen to present several series of entertainment.
